Psychiatric Alumni

At Finding Balance DO, we believe that good care is built on good training, thoughtful supervision, and real collaboration.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of working with many psychiatric trainees who have gone on to leadership roles, fellowships, and thriving independent practices.

This page celebrates our alumni—the people who helped build this practice and carry its values of curiosity, compassion, and excellent care wherever they go.

Jasmine E. Kim, MD

Dr. Jasmine E. Kim completed part of her psychiatric training with Finding Balance DO while serving as a Chief Resident in General Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and Kings County Hospital. Her work during residency focused on patient safety, quality improvement, and thoughtful, collaborative psychiatric care — values that deeply shaped our practice culture.

Dr. Kim earned her medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from Duke University. Her early academic work explored child psychiatry, trauma, and the long-term impact of adverse childhood experiences, with presentations at regional and national conferences.

Inspired by her passion for systems-based care and improving how clinicians deliver safe, efficient treatment, Dr. Kim pursued specialized training in clinical informatics. She is currently continuing her work at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she combines operations, technology, and psychiatry to advance mental health care delivery.

Beyond her clinical and informatics work, Dr. Kim remains dedicated to education, mentorship, and advocacy, particularly for underserved communities and child mental health.
